PORTLAND, ME — Portland Police responded to King Middle School on Nov. 6 for a report of an assault at approximately 8 a.m.
A teacher reported witnessing a man grab a 14-year-old female student by the arm.
The teacher intervened, and the man left the area heading east on Park Avenue.
The student was not injured.
Officers located and interviewed the individual involved.
After investigating the circumstances, it was determined that the incident was not nefarious in nature, and the student’s parents did not wish to pursue charges.
