Suspicious package investigated at Danbury hospital

DANBURY, CT — Police responded to a report of a suspicious package at Danbury Hospital early Thursday morning.

The Danbury Police Department received a call from hospital security at approximately 2:46 a.m. Nov. 6 reporting the package in the Rizzo Parking Garage.

Officers responded to the scene and worked with hospital security and local and state partners to evaluate the situation.

Responding units confirmed the package was not dangerous.

The hospital remained open throughout the incident, and patient care and operations continued without interruption.

The incident remains under investigation.
