ALBANY, NY — Police are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred Tuesday evening on Robin Street.
Officers responded to the area of Robin Street and Bradford Street around 7:30 p.m. for reports of an individual who had been stabbed.
Upon arrival, officers found Edward Ponder, 34, with multiple stab wounds near the roadway.
Ponder was treated at the scene by the Albany Fire Department and emergency medical personnel but was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
