SOUTHAMPTON, NY — The New York State Police Underwater Recovery Team assisted the Town of Southampton Police Department in searching for two missing kayakers in Shinnecock Bay on Nov. 2 and 3.
The team conducted SONAR and dive operations in the bay as part of the search.
Both kayakers were found deceased.
The Underwater Recovery Team located and recovered one kayaker on the afternoon of Nov. 2.
The second kayaker was recovered on Nov. 3.
The Town of Southampton Police Department is continuing the investigation.
