COHASSET, MA — Cohasset Fire and Police units responded to a report of a garage fire in the 400 block of Beechwood Street at approximately 12:18 p.m. today.
Upon arrival, officers observed heavy fire showing from the structure.
The homeowner informed first responders that the garage was unoccupied but contained several containers of gasoline, propane, and acetylene.
Firefighters quickly worked to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures.
No injuries were reported.
A section of Beechwood Street was closed to traffic for over an hour while crews operated on scene and ensured the area was safe.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
