CORTLANDVILLE, NY — New York State Police arrested two Syracuse women on theft charges Oct. 30 following a reported larceny at a Tractor Supply store.

Nyraeisa Bibbs, 27, of Syracuse, was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

Naughtica T. Fulton, 23, of Syracuse, was charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree, a misdemeanor.

Troopers from the Homer barracks were dispatched to the Tractor Supply on State Route 13 at approximately 8:47 p.m. after a vehicle with two suspects fled the area following the theft of several Carhartt jackets.

A trooper located the vehicle on State Route 281 as it attempted to access the connector to Interstate 81 and conducted a traffic stop.

During the investigation, Fulton locked the vehicle with her key fob and threw the keys inside in an effort to hinder the investigation, according to police.

Troopers determined Bibbs and Fulton were the suspects and recovered the jackets from the vehicle.

Both women were issued appearance tickets to Cortlandville Town Court for Nov. 24.
