SCHENECTADY, NY — A Niskayuna man has been arrested for making threats on social media toward local public officials, according to the Schenectady Police Department.
Subhash Sukhram, 40, was taken into custody following an investigation into threats made against a member of the Schenectady City Council and the Schenectady County Legislature, as well as those who vote for them.
Sukhram has been charged with two counts of aggravated harassment in the second degree, Class A misdemeanors, and one count of making a threat of mass harm, a Class B misdemeanor.
He was booked this afternoon at Schenectady Police Department headquarters and sent to the Schenectady County Jail.
