MENTZ, NY — The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office arrested a woman for criminal possession of a firearm on Oct. 24.
Patricia A. Ewald, 52, of Mentz, was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, an E felony.
Sheriff Brian Schenck said Ewald was arrested after an investigation revealed she was in possession of an un-serialized self-manufactured pistol in the town of Mentz.
Ewald was processed at the Sheriff’s Office and issued an appearance ticket returnable to Mentz Town Court on Nov. 3.
