NEW LONDON, CT — A 17-year-old dirt bike rider remained hospitalized in stable condition following a collision with a motor vehicle on Oct. 24.
New London Police and Fire personnel responded to the area of Broad Street and Center Street at approximately 7:33 p.m. for a reported accident involving a dirt bike and motor vehicle.
Emergency service personnel located an injured male in the roadway upon arrival.
The rider was transported to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital for medical treatment.
The operator of the dirt bike has been identified as a 17-year-old juvenile of New London.
The operator of the vehicle has been identified as Elaine Cruz of New London.
The New London Police Accident Reconstruction Team is conducting an active and ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
