Man sought by police in Augusta

AUGUSTA, ME — Police are seeking the public’s help to identify a man connected to an ongoing investigation.

The Augusta Police Department released a photo of the individual Wednesday as part of its weekly “Wanted Wednesday Alert” program.

Police did not disclose the nature of the incident under investigation, citing the need to protect the integrity of the case.

Authorities said investigations can involve various offenses including assault, hit and run, credit card fraud, forgery or theft.

Store security cameras and home surveillance systems are often used to help identify suspects, according to police.
