ELMIRA, NY — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Tuesday evening at Clemens Center Parkway and East Market Street.
Officers from the Elmira Police Department responded to the scene after receiving a report of the collision.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on Clemens Center Parkway.
Emergency medical personnel rendered aid to the victim at the scene.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The incident remains under investigation, and no additional details were released.
