CORTLAND, NY — A 40-year-old woman was arrested on a drug possession charge after being taken into custody on an active warrant.
Sarah E. Wacht, of Cortland, was located by a Cortland County Sheriff’s Office officer in the area of Central Avenue at approximately 5:45 p.m. on Oct. 27.
Wacht was taken into custody on the warrant and found to be in possession of a controlled substance, according to the sheriff’s office.
She was transported to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office where she was processed and arraigned on the warrant.
Wacht was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor.
She was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in City of Cortland Court on Nov. 10 at 9 a.m.
