HOLYOKE, MA — Two men were arrested Tuesday in connection with suspected drug distribution from a convenience store on Maple Street.
Holyoke Police Chief Brian Keenan announced that members of the Holyoke Police Narcotics Bureau working with the Drug Enforcement Administration Springfield Resident Office made the arrests following a month-long investigation.
Around 1:50 p.m., investigators observed Jeffrey Cintron leave the convenience store at 96 Maple Street and get into a vehicle.
Investigators observed the car speeding and conducted a traffic stop near 484 Maple Street.
Investigators located and seized approximately 12 bags of cocaine, five pills of suspected fentanyl and cash.
Cintron was placed under arrest.
At approximately 2:30 p.m., members of the Holyoke Police and DEA entered the store and placed Juan Jimenez-Gomez under arrest.
Inside his man-purse, investigators recovered approximately two bundles of heroin, a bag of cocaine and $1,923 in cash.
Jeffrey Cintron, 45, of Springfield, is charged with distribution of a Class A drug, possession with the intent to distribute a Class B drug, possession of a Class A drug, possession of a Class B drug and speeding at a rate of speed greater than was reasonable and proper.
Juan Jimenez-Gomez, 61, of Holyoke, is charged with possession with the intent to distribute a Class A drug, possession with the intent to distribute a Class B drug, possession of a Class A drug and possession of a Class B drug.
