BOSTON, MA — Officers seized nine mopeds and issued seven summonses during a targeted enforcement operation Tuesday in the city’s downtown area.
Officers from District A-1 conducted the operation focused on scooters and mopeds in response to ongoing public safety concerns surrounding the use of these vehicles, including their links to motor vehicle violations and violent crimes.
The enforcement action resulted in multiple citations along with the seven summonses for various motor vehicle law violations.
Anyone with information related to similar illegal activity is encouraged to contact the Boston Police Department or call 911 in case of an emergency.
