BOSTON, MA — Two men have been arrested in connection with a September shooting in Mattapan that left one person injured.
Deshawn Grayson, 26, of Boston, was arrested at about 1:52 p.m. on Tuesday in the area of 354 East Eighth Street by officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force.
Grayson was wanted on a warrant issued out of Dorchester District Court for carrying a firearm without a license, second offense; carrying a loaded firearm without a license; possession of ammunition without an FID card; possession of a large capacity feeding device; two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury; and discharge a firearm within 500 feet of a building.
He is expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court.
Tyrece Tennyson-Young, 26, of Dorchester, was arrested at about 10:15 a.m. on Oct. 7 in the area of 1062 Washington Street, Dorchester, by officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force.
Tennyson-Young was wanted on a warrant issued out of Dorchester District Court for carrying a firearm without a license, second offense; carrying a loaded firearm without a license; possession of ammunition without an FID card; possession of a large capacity feeding device; two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury; and discharge a firearm within 500 feet of a building.
He was arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
Officers assigned to District B-3 responded to the area of 37 Temple Street at about 10:53 p.m. on Sept. 22 for a report of a person shot.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
