POWNAL, ME — Authorities are seeking the public’s help in locating a white Toyota Camry involved in a hit-and-run crash that injured a pedestrian Sunday.
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of 825 Hallowell Road at 12 p.m. for a reported car versus pedestrian motor vehicle crash.
Zachary Cooperstein, 36, of Gray, was returning to his vehicle from a walk in the woods when he was struck by a vehicle.
The vehicle stopped and the operator made contact with Cooperstein, but the vehicle left the scene before law enforcement arrived.
Cooperstein sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The involved vehicle has been determined to be a white Toyota Camry operated by an older female.
The vehicle was last seen traveling from the area toward Durham.
