Man arrested on drug, firearms charges in Worcester

WORCESTER, MA — A 65-year-old man faces multiple drug trafficking and firearms charges following the execution of search warrants on Oct. 27.

Peter Hicks of Worcester was arrested after members of the Worcester Police Department’s Vice Squad executed search warrants for an apartment on Delldale Street and a Ford F-150 pickup truck.

Police observed Hicks leaving the residence at approximately 7:30 a.m. and stopped him after he drove away in his pickup truck.

Detectives recovered 13 individually packaged rocks of crack cocaine from Hicks during the stop.

A search of the Delldale Street apartment revealed additional crack cocaine and numerous suspected counterfeit pills containing fentanyl.

Police found an unsecured handgun and ammunition during a subsequent search of the truck.

Hicks does not possess a license to carry or firearms identification card.

Hicks is charged with trafficking in fentanyl more than 10 grams, possession with intent to distribute cocaine (subsequent offense), carrying a firearm without a license, use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of ammunition without an FID card, and improper storage of a firearm.
