ORLEANS, NY — State Police responded to a fatal motor vehicle accident on Middle Road on Oct. 26 at approximately 12:54 p.m.
A preliminary investigation determined that a 2005 Honda Accord operated by Isabella M. Keeton, 18, of La Fargeville, New York, was traveling south on Middle Road when she failed to maintain her lane, exited the roadway, and struck a tree on the west side of the road.
Her passenger, Reid W. Marker, 20, of Virginia, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Keeton was not injured in the crash.
A Drug Recognition Expert responded to the scene and determined there were no signs of impairment of the operator.
