Man cited for leaving scene of accident in South Royalton

SOUTH ROYALTON, VT — Vermont State Police have cited a man for leaving the scene of an accident after he allegedly crashed into two mailboxes.

Tyler Garrant, 31, of South Royalton, was operating a motor vehicle on South Windsor Street on Sept. 18 at approximately 5:03 p.m. when he crashed into the mailboxes, according to police.

Police said Garrant left the scene after the crash.

The mailboxes belonged to Samuel Pitts of South Royalton.

Garrant was located on Oct. 26 and issued a criminal citation.

He is scheduled to appear in Windsor County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on Dec. 9 at 8:30 a.m.
