Man fatally stabbed in Paterson

PATERSON, NJ — A 38-year-old man was fatally stabbed in the area of Market Street and Veterans Place on Oct. 22.

Members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area at approximately 2:21 p.m. on a reported stabbing, according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray.

When officers arrived on scene, they located the victim, William Davis, of Paterson, lying on the sidewalk with multiple stab wounds.

Davis was transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center where he was subsequently pronounced deceased.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
