TURNER, ME — The Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a fire that destroyed two sheds Saturday evening.
The Turner Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at a single-family residence at approximately 5 p.m.
Firefighters arrived to find two small sheds fully involved in fire.
The sheds were located immediately adjacent to one another.
No residential structures were involved or damaged.
Both sheds were a total loss.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
In a separate incident Sunday, the Fire Marshal’s Office assisted Farmington firefighters with an investigation into a structure fire at Troll Valley Campground.
The Farmington Fire Department responded to 283 Red Schoolhouse Road at approximately 2 p.m.
Firefighters encountered a working structure fire and brought it under control with assistance from area mutual aid departments.
Fire Marshal’s Office investigators determined the fire originated in a confined space in the ceiling between the basement and first floor of the building.
The cause of the fire has been ruled accidental.
One cat died in the fire.
No human injuries were reported.
The building sustained significant damage.
