Woman arrested on larceny charge in Greece

GREECE, NY — A woman was arrested after police located a stolen rental vehicle traveling on West Ridge Road.

Officers conducted a traffic stop at approximately 2:06 p.m. on Oct. 23 after a license plate reader alerted them to a gray 2025 Mitsubishi Mirage that had been reported stolen from Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

The driver, Brenda Cook, 24, of Greece, was taken into custody without incident.

Cook admitted she failed to return the rental vehicle as required, according to police.

Cook was charged with grand larceny in the third degree and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in the third degree.

She was transported to Greece Police Headquarters for processing and later remanded to the county jail for arraignment in CAP Court.
