LYNDONVILLE, VT — Two people face multiple charges after police discovered cocaine and a firearm during a traffic stop on Red Village Road.
Lyndonville Police Department officers spotted a suspicious vehicle near Butler’s Bus Service at 11:51 p.m. on Oct. 2.
An investigation led to the seizure of more than an ounce of suspected cocaine and the vehicle.
Police obtained a search warrant and found additional suspected cocaine, other regulated drugs, a pump shotgun and ammunition.
Eli Farrington, 51, of Wheelock, was charged with cocaine possession over 1 ounce, impeding public officers, persons prohibited from possessing firearms, depressant, stimulant or narcotic drug possession, and habitual offender.
Barbara Chase, 43, of St. Johnsbury, was charged with cocaine possession over 2.5 grams and depressant, stimulant or narcotic drug possession.
Farrington is scheduled to be arraigned in Caledonia Superior Court on Jan. 15, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
Chase is scheduled to be arraigned in Caledonia Superior Court on Dec. 15.
