NEW HARTFORD, NY — The New Hartford Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Higby Road and Mohawk Street on the afternoon of Oct. 20.
At approximately 5 p.m., a 2011 Ford pickup truck operated by Douglas Yasenovsky, of New Hartford, collided with a 2016 Subaru SUV driven by Stephanie Roberts, of Clayville.
The impact caused Roberts’ SUV to roll over, coming to rest on the front lawn of a residence on Higby Road.
Police determined that Yasenovsky was following too closely to traffic, which led to the collision with Roberts’ vehicle.
No one was seriously injured.
Motorists experienced minor delays as crews worked to clear the scene and restore normal traffic flow.
Yasenovsky was ticketed for following too closely and unlicensed operation.
