HIGHLAND, NY — A Suffern man was arrested Oct. 9 and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree.
Ahmed Shoaib, 19, was arrested after the vehicle he was operating was stopped for traffic violations on Route 44/55, according to Town of Lloyd police.
Shoaib was transported to the Ulster County Centralized Arraignment Part Court where he was arraigned and released.
He is due back in Town of Lloyd Court on Oct. 14.
In a separate incident, Benjamin Irizarry Jr., 30, of Ellenville, was arrested Oct. 13 and charged with criminal contempt in the first degree, aggravated family offense and harassment in the second degree after he was involved in a domestic dispute, police said.
Irizarry was arraigned in the Ulster County Arraignment Part Court and was remanded to the Ulster County Jail on $500 cash bail.
He is due back in Town of Lloyd Court on Oct. 23.
Megan M. Conley, 23, of Highland, was arrested Oct. 14 and charged with aggravated harassment in the second degree from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Department.
Conley was arrested and turned over to the Ulster County Sheriff’s Department.
