Man reported missing in East Orange

EAST ORANGE, NJ — A 30-year-old man with autism was reported missing after walking away from a residence on Sunday morning.

John Joseph Peel Jr., of East Orange, was last seen at approximately 11 a.m. leaving from North Clinton Street.

He was wearing a gray sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and black sneakers at the time of his disappearance.

Peel has been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Sensory Processing Disorder, according to police.

He is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
