ALTONA, NY — A woman was arrested on burglary and criminal mischief charges after allegedly breaking into a hunting camp.
Nicole P. Burleigh, 40, of Altona, was arrested Oct. 17 by New York State Police.
State Police responded to Vassar Road at approximately 8:54 p.m. for a reported trespass complaint.
The investigation determined that Burleigh unlawfully entered a hunting camp without permission by damaging the front door to gain entry.
Burleigh was located inside the camp upon the arrival of law enforcement and was taken into custody without incident.
She was transported to State Police Champlain for processing.
Burleigh was charged with burglary in the third degree and criminal mischief in the third degree.
She was arraigned in the Town of Champlain Court and released on her own recognizance.
