DUNDEE, NY — A 44-year-old woman was arrested after a small child under her care was seen running in the roadway.
Jennifer T. Berry, of Dundee, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child on Oct. 15.
Yates County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Millard Street at 3:14 p.m. for a report of a small child running in a neighbor’s yard.
An investigation revealed the child had left the residence while under Berry’s care and supervision.
The child was seen running in the roadway on Millard Street before returning home safely.
Berry was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Town of Starkey court at a later date.
