STRATFORD, CT — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred at Penders Practice Field on Oct. 13.
Patrol officers responded to the field at approximately 7:30 p.m. on a report of shots fired.
The practice field is located across the street from the main field at the intersection of Glendale Road and Charlton Street.
Detective Bureau personnel located nine spent .45 caliber shell casings scattered on the ground atop the practice field.
Video surveillance of the incident shows two groups of male individuals, each consisting of three people, meeting at the practice field.
Within seconds of greeting each other, one male individual is seen pointing a firearm at the three male individuals from the other group and firing nine .45 caliber rounds in their direction.
Police have increased patrols in the area since the incident occurred.
