Retail theft investigation leads to 6 arrests in Meriden

MERIDEN, CT — Six people have been arrested following a long-term investigation into an internal theft scheme at a retail store that resulted in losses exceeding $250,000.

The Meriden Police Department initiated the investigation in July 2024.

Detective Femia, who is assigned to the United States Secret Service’s Connecticut Financial Crimes Task Force, investigated the case.

Det. Femia collaborated with the loss prevention team from the business.

The suspects were involved in several different schemes to defraud the retail store of money and products.

All six individuals were arrested as a result of the investigation.
