JAMESTOWN, NY — Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident at a business on Harrison Street at approximately 9:45 p.m. Oct. 17.
Police determined that John L. Thompson Jr., 51, of Jamestown, was operating one of the vehicles involved in the accident while under the influence of alcohol.
Thompson was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (per se) and Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (with a blood alcohol content of .18% or higher).
Thompson was processed and later released with traffic citations.
He is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date for arraignment.
