JAMESTOWN, NY — Police arrested a man on a first-degree criminal contempt charge after finding him with a person protected by a stay-away order of protection.
Officers responded to a northside address at approximately 7:48 p.m. Oct. 14 for a report of a disorderly person threatening residents of a multiple dwelling.
Police made contact with the complainant and identified the man as Dylan Griffith.
While attempting to follow up with Griffith, officers observed him to be accompanied by the person who is the protected party of a full stay-away order of protection against him.
Officers took Griffith into custody without incident.
Griffith is being charged with criminal contempt in the first degree due to being previously convicted of contempt in the second degree.
He was transported to Jamestown City Jail where he was held pending arraignment.
