BOSTON, MA — A Providence man was arrested on multiple firearm and motor vehicle charges following a traffic stop Saturday evening in Roxbury.

Members of the Youth Violence Strike Force stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Blue Hill Avenue and Schuyler Street at about 7:33 p.m. on Oct. 18.

Officers observed the vehicle displaying Rhode Island registration plates that were later determined to be canceled and attached to a different make and model.

The operator was identified as Sandley Pierre Louis, 44, of Providence, Rhode Island.

Investigation revealed Pierre Louis did not possess a valid driver’s license in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.

Officers recovered a P80 “Ghost Gun” loaded with one round in the chamber and twelve rounds in the magazine from the area of the vehicle’s sunroof.

The firearm was secured and rendered safe on scene.

Pierre Louis was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm (third offense), unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device, unlawful possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm, operating a motor vehicle without a license, operating an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle, and attaching plates.
