NORWALK — A 44-year-old Norwalk man was arrested Saturday for violating a protective order and on multiple outstanding warrants, police said.
Norwalk Combined Dispatch received a 911 call at 2:34 p.m. Oct. 19 from a victim reporting that Edgar Mancilla-Giles was outside their residence, in violation of an active full no-contact protective order.
Patrol officers responded to the location and confirmed the protective order was in effect and that Mancilla-Giles was in violation.
Officers also determined that Mancilla-Giles was wanted on several outstanding arrest warrants.
His description was broadcast to additional patrol units checking the area.
Officers located Mancilla-Giles in the area of 250 Ely Avenue a short time later and took him into custody without incident.
He was charged with criminal violation of a protective order and held on a $100,000 bond with a court date of Oct. 20.
Mancilla-Giles was also served with outstanding arrest warrants for robbery in the second degree, conspiracy to commit robbery in the second degree, larceny in the third degree, and risk of injury to a child stemming from a July 12 robbery.
He faces a $500,000 court set bond with a court date of Oct. 20 for those charges.
Additional warrants include threatening in the second degree from a June 27 domestic dispute with a $35,000 bond, burglary in the second degree and larceny in the sixth degree from a July 3 burglary with a $75,000 bond, and failure to appear in the first degree from a July 30, 2022 disturbance with a $25,000 bond.
All court dates are scheduled for Oct. 20.
