Woman cited for leaving crash scene, driving with suspended license in Penfield

PLAINFIELD — Vermont State Police cited a 35-year-old woman for leaving the scene of an accident and driving with a criminally suspended license after she allegedly backed into a fence at an apartment complex.

Police were notified Oct. 15 at 11:57 a.m. of a crash that occurred the previous week at the entrance to the Hollister Hill Apartments in Plainfield.

Someone had backed a vehicle into a metal fence, causing significant damage, and failed to report the crash.

Investigation indicated Lauren Santamore of Plainfield backed a truck into the fence and left the area without reporting it.

Santamore was also operating with a criminally suspended license.

She was issued a citation to appear in the Washington County Superior Court, Criminal Division on Nov. 6 at 8:30 a.m.

The victim was listed as the Vermont State Housing Authority.
