BRAINTREE — Vermont State Police arrested a 50-year-old Braintree man on his second driving under the influence charge following a traffic stop Sunday evening.
Troopers from the Royalton Barracks conducted the traffic stop at approximately 6:35 p.m. near the intersection of Peth Road and Brainstorm Road after observing traffic violations.
The operator was identified as Nathan Shepheard of Braintree.
During the stop, troopers observed indicators of impairment, according to police.
Following an investigation, Shepheard was arrested for driving under the influence.
He was transported to the Royalton Barracks for processing and released with a criminal citation.
Shepheard is scheduled to appear at Vermont Superior Court Criminal Division in Orange County on Nov. 5 at 8:30 a.m.
He faces a charge of DUI #2.
