CATO, NY — A 42-year-old man was arrested on a drunken driving charge after deputies found him sitting on a lawn next to a suspicious vehicle in the Town of Ira.
Ryan K. Mikal, of Moravia, was charged with driving while intoxicated and several vehicle and traffic violations following an incident on Oct. 8.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint at approximately 2:20 p.m. at a residence on Route 176.
The complainant reported that a suspicious white car was parked in front of their driveway and a male was sitting on their lawn.
Deputies arrived and identified the man as Mikal, who was found to have been operating the motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
Mikal was taken into custody and transported to the Public Safety Building for processing.
Blood results to determine Mikal’s blood alcohol content are pending.
Mikal was released with appearance tickets to appear in the Town of Ira Court on Oct. 27 at 5:00 p.m.
