Three arrested on drug charges in Weathersfield

WEATHERSFIELD, VT — Three people were arrested following a drug investigation at a residence on U.S. Route 5 on Oct. 17.

The Windsor County Sheriff’s Department went to 6116 U.S. Route 5 at 10:04 p.m. to locate a wanted subject.

During the investigation, Michelle Richard, 56, of Weathersfield, was arrested for impeding public officers and false information to a police officer.

Andrew Picknell, 32, who is transient, was taken into custody on a governor’s warrant to be extradited to New Hampshire for fentanyl possession.

The house was seized pending application for a search warrant for observed drug activity.

During a cursory search of the residence, Skye Redmond, 29, of Hartford, was found hiding under a pile of clothes in a closet.

Redmond was determined to have an active arrest warrant for cocaine possession.

A search warrant was applied for and granted.

During the execution of the search warrant, deputies seized 120 grams of suspected cocaine base compound, 2 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 1 gram of suspected fentanyl, multiple scales and a .22-caliber revolver.

Redmond was also charged with impeding public officers, resisting arrest and possession of greater than one ounce of cocaine.

The Windsor Police Department assisted with the case.

Court appearances are scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Oct. 20 and Dec. 23 at Windsor Criminal Court.
