WATERBURY, CT — A traffic stop on Wall Street led to the arrest of a man on multiple drug charges on Oct. 16.
Officers from the Waterbury Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit conducted the stop at approximately 4:44 p.m. after observing several traffic violations.
Police seized 38 grams of crack cocaine, 17 grams of fentanyl, 3 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and $1,303 in U.S. currency during the investigation.
Erick Padilla, 34, of Waterbury, was arrested and charged with operating a drug factory, possession of controlled substance-first offense and two counts of possession of one-half ounce or more of cocaine.
He also faces charges of improper parking, insufficient insurance, failure to have tinting sticker, failure to display number plates, illegal parking to block driveway and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
