WATERBURY, CT — A 15-year-old was arrested after police responded to a complaint about reckless off-road vehicle operation at a city park.
Officers from the Waterbury Police Department’s Auto Theft Task Force responded to the area of 283 Bunker Hill Road at approximately 1:51 p.m. on Oct. 15 after receiving an anonymous complaint regarding off-road vehicles driving recklessly and causing damage to the field at Bunker Hill Park.
Officers conducted a traffic stop and identified the operator as a 15-year-old male from Waterbury.
The juvenile was taken into custody without incident, and the dirt bike was seized.
He was charged with insufficient insurance, unregistered motor vehicle, illegal operation of an ATV, criminal mischief in the first degree and operation of a motor vehicle without a license.
