ONEONTA, NY — A 44-year-old man faces multiple charges following a traffic stop on Oct. 13.
Benjamin D. Riker, of Oneonta, was arrested by the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office in the Town of Oneonta.
Deputies said Riker was operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license and improper swapped plates.
He was also operating in violation of an interlock device license restriction, according to authorities.
Riker was found to be in possession of suspected controlled substances, deputies said.
He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, unlicensed operator, operating a motor vehicle without an interlock device, improper plates and permitting operation of a motor vehicle with improper plates.
Riker also had an active Family Court warrant of arrest through the Delaware County Family Court, according to the sheriff’s office.
He was issued appearance tickets for Town of Oneonta Court and turned over to the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office.
