BLACKSTONE, MA — Chief Gregory Gilmore reports that the Blackstone Police Department responded to Blackstone-Millville Regional High School Thursday morning to investigate a potential threat directed toward the school community.
Following a preliminary investigation, it was determined the threat was not credible.
Blackstone-Millville Regional High School staff called Blackstone Police Thursday morning to report that graffiti containing a non-specific threat had been found in the school.
Following a thorough review, investigators determined that there was no credible threat to the school community and no immediate safety risks to students or staff.
The school remained open Thursday.
“A thorough investigation ultimately determined there is no credible threat to the school community,” said Chief Gilmore.
“We always take any report of this nature very seriously, and our Department worked closely with school officials to ensure students and staff were safe,” he said.
