BALLSTON — A man was arrested Tuesday following a disturbance at a gas station on state Route 50.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at 4:24 p.m. at the Mobil at 804 state Route 50.
Ahmad A. Mohammad, 32, of Ballston, was charged with attempted assault in the second degree, a class E felony.
He also faces charges of menacing in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, both class A misdemeanors.
Mohammad is accused of attempting to cause physical injury to another person by means of a knife and of intentionally placing another person in reasonable fear of physical injury, serious physical injury or death by displaying it.
He is also charged with possessing the knife with intent to use it unlawfully against another person.
Mohammad was arraigned before the Honorable Timothy M. Brown in Milton Town Court.
He was released on his own recognizance pending further proceedings in Ballston Town Court.
