SOUTHPORT — A man was arrested Oct. 15 for criminal contempt in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor, after violating an order of protection.
Christopher A. Decker, 42, of Elmira, was arraigned by Southport Town Court and remanded to the Chemung County Jail in lieu of bail.
In a separate incident, a woman was arrested Oct. 14 for criminal mischief in the third degree, a class E felony, criminal trespass in the second degree and endangering the welfare of a child, both class A misdemeanors, following a domestic disturbance.
Jakenya K. Covington, 36, of Elmira, was issued appearance tickets to appear in Southport Town Court at a later date.
