SOUTH WINDSOR — Police arrested an East Hartford woman on an active warrant on Oct. 14.
Monsi C. Jones, 23, of East Hartford, was taken into custody at 8:27 p.m. on charges of engaging police in pursuit, failure to drive in proper lane and violation of a traffic control signal.
The charges stem from an attempted traffic stop on Route 5 in September when Jones was identified as the driver who nearly collided with a grass median and guardrail and then fled from a police officer, violating a traffic control signal in the process, police said.
Jones was taken into custody by the East Hartford Police Department and turned over to South Windsor police, where she was processed and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.
Jones is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Nov. 3 at 9 a.m.
