RICHFORD — Vermont State Police responded to a threatening call on Main Street at 4:45 p.m. Oct. 14.
Troopers from the St. Albans Barracks investigated the incident.
Police say Jeffrey Brown, 34, of Richford, committed aggravated assault by attempting to cause bodily injury with a deadly weapon toward Ashley Laplante, 33, of Richford.
Brown also violated active conditions of release involving the same victim, according to police.
Brown was taken to the St. Albans Barracks for processing.
He is being held without bail at Northwest State Correctional Facility.
