ALBANY — A 16-year-old male has been charged in connection with weapon possession after a brief foot pursuit early Sunday morning.
On-duty Albany police officers attempted to stop an individual on foot in the area of Delaware Avenue and Myrtle Avenue around 1:50 a.m. Sunday in regard to an ongoing investigation.
After a brief foot pursuit, the individual was taken into custody without further incident.
The 16-year-old was found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm ghost gun.
The teen, whose name will not be released due to his age, has been charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd, one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd, and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th.
He was arraigned Monday morning and remanded to the Capital District Juvenile Secure Detention Facility.
