SWANTON — A 49-year-old Highgate man was cited for violating conditions of release after being stopped for a motor vehicle violation Oct. 12.
Vermont State Police troopers from the St. Albans Barracks conducted the traffic stop at approximately 6:03 p.m. on First Street near King Street.
The operator was identified as Michael Sowa of Highgate.
During the investigation, troopers discovered Sowa had active court-ordered conditions of release that prohibited him from operating a motor vehicle.
Sowa was issued a citation ordering him to appear in Franklin County Criminal Court on Nov. 17 at 8:30 a.m.
