ALBANY — Albany Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning on Washington Avenue.
On Oct. 12 around 1:35 a.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Washington Avenue near Lexington Avenue for reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers found evidence consistent with gunfire; however, no gunshot victim was located on scene.
Shortly after, staff from Albany Memorial Hospital notified police that a 24-year-old male entered the emergency room with a gunshot wound to his arm.
The victim was treated at Albany Memorial Hospital and was later transferred to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Further investigation determined that the victim was shot in the area of Washington Avenue and Lexington Avenue.
