BRAINTREE — Three armed men robbed a food delivery driver on Skyline Drive Friday night, prompting a multi-agency search that included police dogs and aircraft.
The Braintree Police Department received a 911 call at about 10 p.m. Oct. 11 from a victim who said he was robbed by three males, all armed with handguns, after making a food delivery.
Officers quickly located the victim and found his unoccupied Nissan Maxima near the Skyline Apartments management office, a short distance from where it was taken.
The vehicle was still running with the front passenger door open and items strewn on the ground outside.
Braintree police called for assistance from mutual aid partners, with Quincy officers and a Quincy K-9 unit responding.
Massachusetts State Police also assisted along with the MSP Air Wing.
Multiple K-9 tracks were conducted but did not locate the suspects.
Braintree’s drone unit was activated and both Braintree and Quincy drones were deployed.
The victim’s vehicle was towed to the Braintree Police station for processing, with Plymouth County B.C.I. assisting in processing evidence.
The victim was visibly upset but uninjured and was driven to the police station where he was interviewed by detectives.
Police described the three suspects as a white male with red hair wearing a gray hoodie; a light-skinned male wearing a gray/black Nike Tech hooded sweatshirt and black ski mask who was possibly speaking with an accent; and a dark-skinned male with a dark hoodie.
The victim could not provide approximate ages of the suspects.
No arrests have been made.
